Abstrak

This research investigates the students’ error in using personal pronoun, especially it is written in the title of this research paper that is “An Analysis of Students’ Error in Using Personal Pronoun on Writing Descriptive Text”. The research is conducted based on the main problems (1) What are the most often types of errors make by students in using personal pronoun on writing descriptive text? (2) Why did many students make error in using personal pronoun on writing descriptive text?.In reference to the afro-mentioned research problem, this research is aimed at (1) To know the type of writing error commonly make by students of MA BanyNawawi in using personal pronoun on writing descriptive text (2) To know the reason many students of MA Bany Nawawi make the error in using personal pronoun on writing descriptive. To answer the questions, the subject of the research is students of second grade in MA BanyNawawiGelereng-Cilegon. The subject of the research is class XI A which 21 students. Since the research used case study, the data is gathered through test of writing descriptive text and interview. From the analysis, the writer concludes there are many students make error in using personal pronoun on writing descriptive text. (1) The percentage of the students’ make error in using personal pronoun on writing descriptive text is the writer conclude that the error of selection is highest error produced by students with percentage 75%, the second level is error of omission (15,62%), the third level is error of ordering (10,94%) and the last is error of addition with percentage 7,81%.(2) The causes of error make by students of MA BanyNawawi are caused by students’ learning strategy and teaching technique.
