Abstrak

The aim of this study is to find out the effect of using participation point sytem (pps) method in learning speaking skill. The researcher used experimental research in this study. The researchers collected data from 74 students who were divided into two classes. one as the experimental class and one class as the control class. To gain valid and reliable data, the researcher used some research instruments, namely observation, pre-test and post-test. The population is the seventh grade of MTsN 4 Tangerang year 2022/2023, while class 7.6 as experimental class and 7.7 the control class serves as the sample. The study's findings support the hypothesis that the t-test of both the sample and the t-table found a 5% significance level in table 1,66 and a 1% significance level in table 2,37, respectively. As a result, is equal to or greater than 1%, or 5%. The difference between to (t observation) and (t table) is the mean. To find out if it's higher, we need to look at the t table in the references section. The result of tt on significant 5% = 1,66 and 1% = 2,37. It indicates that to > or 6,6 > 2,37 and 6,6 > 1,66 so the null hypothesis (Ho) rejected and the experimental hypothesis (Ha) is general.
