Abstrak

Shoky Yulya Ananda. 152301768. 2019. Using gallery Walk Technique In Teaching Students’ Writing Announcement Text. (A True-Experimental Study of Tenth Grade Students at SMKN 3 Serang City in The Academic Year of 2018/2019) This study is aimed to find out whether the learners who are taught by of using Gallery Walk technique can effect to the students ability in writing announcement text than learners who are taught by using lecture method at SMKN 3 Serang City in The Academic Year of 2018/2019. In this study, researcher uses quantitative research methods, which conducted the experiment and control class. The instrument uses in this research is test (pre-test and post-test). This research involves 68 students as sample among tenth grade of SMKN Serang City year 2018/2019 as population. Based on result of calculation, the writer obtained the mean of experiment group is 79.5 and the mean of control group is 78.9 with the value oft is 0.25 and degree of freedom (df) is 66. Moreover, the value oft on degree of significance of 5% is 1.67. Furthermore, after obtaining data from t-test, the writer comparedt witht with degree of significance of 5% the result showed that t-test is smaller than t-table ort<t = 0.25 < 1.67. It means thatH (alternative hypothesis) is rejected andH (null hypothesis) is accepted. In other words, the result of this research showed that there is no effect between group using Gallery Walk Technique and group not using Gallery Walk Technique in the ability writing Announcemnet Text. Key Words : announcement text, gallery walk technique, teaching writing, writing skill.
