Abstrak

This research aims to find out the EFL students perceptions on Microsoft Teams as a medium for learning online and to analyze the effectiveness of the use of Microsoft Teams as a medium for learning online in improving the students’ English skill. This research used qualitative research as a method by using descriptive analysis. The instrument used in this research is the students of SMAN 2 Serang City of questionnaire and interview. The population of the research is the twelfth grade from Mipa 5 that consist of 37 students for questionnaire and 10 random sample of students for interview. The results showed that students EFL conducted online learning with Microsoft Teams was something new. However, most respondents provide positive perceptions and can be seen from the results of student exam scores after some time using Microsoft Teams. Therefore, it can be said that learning through Microsoft Teams is said to be effective in helping, supporting and motivating EFL students while following learning English online, so EFL students can learn optimally even though online.
