Abstrak

Anita Maryam, 132301499, 2018, “The Influence of Cue Card 4D on Students’ Descriptive Writing Skill (An Experimental Research at Eight Grade of MTsN 1 Kota Cilegon)” Undergraduate Research Paper, Department of English Education, Faculty of Education and Teacher Training, The State Islamic University “Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin” Banten. Advisor : Dr. H. Subhan, M.Ed and As’ari, S. S, M. Si. This research aimed to find out the influence of Cue Card 4D in teaching descriptive writing skill at the eight grade of MTsN Kota Cilegon. The writer collect data from 60 students spread in two classes, one class as the experimental class and another one is as the control class, by applying experimental research method. The population is the eight grade of MTsN 1 Kota Cilegon. The classes VIII C as the control class and VIII D as the experimental class. The data is gathered through pre-test and post-test. Based on the result of the statistical calculation, it is obtained the values of to (t observation) is 6,89 , degree of freedom is 58. In degree of significance 5% from 58 (t table) = 2,00. In degree of significance 1% from 58 (t table) = 2,66. It is clear that t o is higher than t t (2,00 < 6,89 > 2,66). It shows that Ha of the result is accepted and Ho is rejected. It means that there is significant the Influence of Cue Card 4D on Students’ Descriptive Writing Skill (An Experimental Research at Eight Grade of MTsN 1 Kota Cilegon). The result of the research show that the hypothesis, which state there is no different of writing skill between the class using Cue Card 4D and the class non using Cue Card 4D, is rejected. It means there is significant different of writing skill between both classes, the different is that the students’ descriptive writing skill who use Cue Card 4D achieve better performance than those who do not use Cue Card 4D.
