Abstrak

This research conducted based on the statement of problems, 1) How the influence of guided writing strategy on student’s writing descriptive text. This research oriented to the following aims, 1) To explore influence of guided writing strategy on student’s writing descriptive text. To answer questions above, the reseacher collected data from 62 students spreading in two classes, each class has 31 students. One class as experimental group, and another one is control group. This research used an experimental research. The population was 62 students of the second grade of SMKN 12 Pandeglang. The reseacher took sample from X AP 1 class as control group, and X RPL 1 class as experimental group. The data was gathered through pretest and posttest because the reseacher used experimental method. Based on the result, the reseacher got mean pretest score 65.32 and posttest 66.12 from control class. While from experimental class the reseacher got mean pretest 64.61 and mean posttest 71.35. The score of experimental class increase on 6.74 % it is better than control class students with increase on 0.8 %. According to the data, the score of t0 (t observation) 5.02 is higher than tt(t table) 2.00. It means that using guided writing strategy gives the significant influence in teaching writing descriptive text.
