Abstrak

This study aims to improve the speaking ability of seventh grade students at SMPN 5 Sobang through the use of the Digital Book Let's Read Asia application. The sample of this study involved 60 students, who were divided into two classes: 30 students as the control class(VII B) and 30 students as the experimental class(VII A). The research method used was a quantitative quasi-experimental. This study was conducted by providing three treatments, accompanied by a pre-test and post-test. The result showes that the score of degrees of freedom (df) = 58, with a significance level of 5%. By comparing the results of tobservation of 4.85 with ttable of 2.00 at a significance level of 5%, the writer concludes that tobservation was accepted and the null hypothesis (H0) was rejected. This shows that the use of the Digital Book Let's Read Asia application significantly improves students' speaking ability.
