Abstrak

The objective of this research was to get empirical evidence about the influence of Direct Method on Student’s Speaking Skill and to identify the students’ achievement in learning Speaking through Direct Method. This research used quantitative method. The sample of this research was the Second grade of MA Al-Ishlah Kananga Menes Pandeglang Banten. With the total number 20 students from each class. The research conducted experiment in two different classes with Direct Method was employed in an experimental class and the class without Direct Method was employed in a controlled class. The data were collected through the achievement of pre-test and post-test from two classes. The result showed that teaching Speaking by using Direct Method was more effective than using Without Direct Method. Direct Method has served a positive influence. So, it can be concluded that direct method has positive effect to the second grade students of MA Al-Ishlah Kanangan Menes Pandeglang in teaching Speaking.
