Abstrak

This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of digital literacy intervention in improving students’ reading skills in descriptive text when implemented through a project-based learning and to explore the impact of digital literacy on students’ motivation, engagement, and attitudes toward reading descriptive text. This Study used is a classroom action research (CAR) which is carried out by following the John Elliot model research procedures which include planning, action, observation, reflection. The participants in this research are the students of tenth grade in SMK PGRI 3 Kota Serang. Data collection were carried out by observation, and test. Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded that the implementation of digital literacy in school requires a teacher as a facilitator to not only utilize learning resources in schools like only Relying on textbook reading materials, but are required to study various learning sources, such as magazines, newspapers, internet, and digital media. The researcher concluded that students reading ability through digital literacy on descriptive text is increased. The result of this research are cycle 1 the result is 498, the highest score in cycle I is 15 and lowest is 12. And cycle Il the result is 652 the highest score in cycle Il is 19 and lowest is 15 Then using digital literacy (G-Form) there is an increase students' reading ability in English learning at classroom.
