Abstrak

This research employs a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design to assess the effectiveness of using Bing AI in enhancing the writing skills of first-grade students at MA Al-Inayah High School. The study population consists of 165 students from five classes, with a sample of 64 students (32 in the experimental class and 32 in the control class). The data collection involves pre-tests and post-tests, and the analysis is conducted using t-test formulas. The research takes place at MA Al-Inayah High School in Cilegon, Banten, during the last semester of the academic year 2023-2024. The results indicate a significant improvement in students' writing skills in the experimental class compared to the control class. The mean scores for pre-tests and post-tests in the experimental class are 41.2 and 69.2, respectively, while the control class scores are 45.2 and 51.9. The t-test analysis yields a significant difference (to=5.66) between the experimental and control groups, supporting the hypothesis that Bing AI positively influences students' writing abilities. Overall, the study suggests that Bing AI is effective in enhancing students' writing skills, as evidenced by the statistical analysis and the observed improvement in descriptive text writing.
