Abstrak

This research aims to determine the effectiveness of using the Wordwall digital platform in improving the ability of 10th grade students at SMAN 06 Pandeglang to understand English tenses, particularly the simple present tense. This study used a quasi-experimental method with nonequivalent control group design. The sample consisted of two classes, namely a control class that used conventional methods and an experimental class that used the Wordwall platform, each consisting of 36 students. The instruments used included multiple-choice tests and questionnaires, each consisting of 20 questions. Data were analyzed using a t-test with the assistance of SPSS 20. The results of the data analysis showed a significant increase in the post-test scores of students in the experimental class with a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000 (<0.05). In addition, the questionnaire results also showed that students responded positively to the use of the Wordwall platform, with an average standard deviation of 69.81 from a minimum score of 54 to a maximum of 80. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the use of the Wordwall platform is effective in improving students' understanding and motivation in learning English tenses. This study has positive implications for the use of interactive digital media as an innovative and enjoyable learning strategy.
