Abstrak

This research investigated the use of listen and tick in listening skill. This research to find out whether teaching listening by song is effective or not, especially in teaching listening skill. This research was quantitative research. The design of this research was quasi-experimental design, exactly two-group pre-test post- test (control and experimental classes) the researcher took sample from class X AKL consist of 31 students as experimental class and class X MPLB consist of 31 students as control class. The Instrument uses this research tested (pre- test and post- test) and observation. The research finding of the last result showed that tcount > table (9.13>2.00). it means that Ha (alternative hypothesis) is accepted and H0 (null hypothesis) is rejected. In addition, the result of the research showed that the use song is effective for student s listening skill in grade of SMK PGRI 03 KOTA SERANG. It could be seen from post- test data by proving the students score got better than in the pre- test.
