Abstrak
Alni Sidqiyah Afrika. 161230038. 2020. An Analysis of Lexical Neologisms During Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Pandemic to Enhance Morphological Knowledge This research is purposed to seek out the neologisms created during coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, the categories of its content words as well as to describe the word-formation processes of the neologisms. This research applied the technique of qualitative method based on content analysis approach. The object of this study was online articles and news portal websites. This research focused on the lexical problem dealing with the vocabulary used in the creation of the neologisms. The data of this study were collected by using reading documents and note-taking technique. In addition, to analyze the data, this study used referential identity technique. The result of this study shows that there are 23 neologisms found during the research of this study. There are three categories of content words revealed, which are noun, verb, and adjective categories. There are also five categories of word-formation processes obtained in this study, which are borrowing, compounding, clipping, blending, and coinage.
