Abstrak
Rokilah (161230009). 2020. An Analaysis of Online Students Pronounciation Error in English Diphthong during Covid 19 Pandemic. (Case Study at Myelin Course Pare-Kediri) This research investigates the online students in English diphthong pronouncing. This research used case study to get the data by online used test and interview online students during Covid 19 Pandemic in two weeks used zoom application. This research was to find out are the most difficult diphthong pronounce by online students and to describe the transcription of online students recorder pronounciation error in English diphthong during pandemic covid-19. The respondent of this research are 10 online students of the basic online class conversation of Mayelin Pare-Kediri. The writer used qualitative research. The result of the research shows that the online students of Mayelin Course did not have ability in pronouncing diphthong. The most difficult diphthong is /ʊə/. This can be seen from total percentage error in /ʊə/ pronouncing diphthong is 23,14%. All of online students make error in words: pure, cure, and Tour. The online students actually have spirit to learn English but they still do not fully understand about pronunciation well, especially in diphthong vowel. It can be seen that when they studying diphthong in pronunciation English material, many error in pronouncing diphthong vowel that made by the online students.
