Abstrak

This research investigation the use teachers’ feedback as writing assessment technique in teaching report text, it is written in the title of this research paper is “The Effectiveness of Teachers’ Feedback as Writing Assessment on Students’ Writing Ability.” The research is conducted based on main problems 1) How is the students’ ability in writing repot text? 2) How is the application of the writing assessment in writing report text? 3) How is the effectiveness of teachers’ feedback as writing assessment on students’ report text? In reference to research problems, this research is aimed at 1) To know the students’ ability in writing repot text 2) To know the application of the writing assessment in writing report text 3) To know the effectiveness of teaches’ feedback as writing assessment on students’ writing report text. To answer the questions, the writer collected data from 60 students, by divide them into two groups, one group as the experiment class as much as 30 students, mean while the other one as control class as much as 30 students. The population as much as 209 students of the second grade of SMPN 1 Cikeusal. The method of this research is quasi experiment. The design method in this research non random control group pre-test design. The instrument use test there are pre-test and post-test. Based on the result of interpretation the researcher has gottenaverage score of tobservation = 6,85 > ttable = 2,00 and 2,65 with the levelsignificant of 5% or 1%). So, to is higher than tt. it means there issignificant effective of teachers’ feedback as writing assessment onstudents’ writing report text ability. The teachers’ feedback can beapplied by teacher to improve students’ writing ability especially reporttext. The writer concludes that using teachers’ feedback as writingassessment on students’ writing ability is more affective than withoutusing feedback
