Abstrak

This study aims to reveal anxiety that impedes students' speaking skills in Grade Two SMP Dewi Kunti-1 Tigaraksa. This research uses a case study with quantitative descriptive analysis. The subjects in this study were second-grade students of SMP Dewi Kunti-1 Tigaraksa. The object and specificity of this study is to determine the level of anxiety in speaking English in class. Data collection methods used in this study include checklist observation methods, questionnaires, and interviews. The results of this study indicate that several things stand out regarding the issues raised, namely, Anxiety levels associated with embarrassment, anxiety, and fear.
