Abstrak

Fuzi Faujiyah, 161230001, 2020. The Effectiveness of Using Podcast in Teaching Listening Comprehension (An Experimental Research at the First Grade Students of MA Al-Fathaniyah Kota Serang). This research investigates The Effectiveness of Using Podcast in Teaching Listening Comprehension. This research use experimental research it was conducted based on the main problem, (1) How is students‟ listening comprehension skill at first grade of MA AlFathaniyah Kota Serang ? (2) How is the podcast applied in teaching listening comprehension at first grade of MA Al-Fathaniyah Kota Serang? (3) How is the effectiveness of using podcast in teaching listening comprehension at first grade of MA Al-Fathaniyah Kota Serang ? To answer the question, the researcher collected data from 60 students which devided into two classes, while XA as experimental class and XB as control class are taken as the samples. Since the researcher uses true experimental method, the data is gathered through pre-test and post-test. After the research collect the data from two classes. The result of this research show that the mean of post-test score of experimental class was 72,67 and the mean of post-test score of control class was 64,67 then the higher score of post-test in experimental class was 90 and the higher score of post-test in control class was 80. The lowest score of post-test in experimental class was 55 and the lowest score of post-test in control class as 55. The result of this research show that the hypothesis the value of to (tcount) is higher than tt (ttable), to= 4,23> tt = 2,00 at 5% in degree of significance with df = 30+30-2 = 58, and to=4,23 > ttable=2,66 at 1%. From the result of calculation t-test = 4,23. If compared between to and ttable, to>ttable. it means Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted
