Abstrak

Neng Rita. 152301930. 2019. The Effectiveness of YouTube Video in Improving Student’ Writing skill on Procedure Texts (Quasi experimental research of ninth grade MTs Al-Hidayah Cigadung pandeglang) Adviser: Moh. Nur Arifin, S.Ag, M.Pd and Tri Ilma Septiana, M.Pd. This research investigates the effectiveness of YouTube video in improving student’ writing skill on procedure texts. It is conducted based on to the main problem. 1) How are the students writing on procedure texts before and after using YouTube Video in MTs Al-Hidayah Pandeglang? 2) How is the effectiveness of using YouTube Video in improving student’ writing skill on procedure texts? The researcher collected the data from 60 students consists experimental class and control class. The result showed that the students Writing procedure texts abilities who used YouTube video had better performance than those who had not used YouTube video. The result of the data analysis was using ttest according to the data, the value of tobservation is bigger than ttable . tobservation = 4,51 > ttable = 1,67 (5%) or tobservation 4,51 > ttable = 2,39 (1%), so Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. It means that YouTube video had significant effect in students’ learning writing.
