Abstrak
Afina. 152301888. 2019. Applying Shadowing Technique in Teaching Speaking (A Case at the Second Grade Students in MTSN 5 Serang). This study investigated (1) the applying shadowing technique in teaching speaking at the Second Grade Students by the researcher in MTSN 5 Serang; and (2) the students’ speaking after shadowing technique students’ speaking at the Second Grade Students in MTSN 5 Serang. The method of this research is case study. The data collecting procedures are observation, test and interview. The researcher takes a second grade which consists of 24 students. The result of the research revealed that: (1) the applying shadowing technique in teaching speaking by the researcher in MTS N 5 Serang has done properly accordance with the procedure (2) students’ speaking improving after shadowing technique is 76,04%. It concludes that applying shadowing technique can help student to improve speaking ability in MTS N 5 Serang. Key words: Shadowing, Teaching Speaking
