Abstrak

This research investigates the use cartoon picture model technique in writing narrative text. The title of this research paper is “Improving Students’ Writing Skill on narrative Text Using Cartoon Picture”. The research is conducted based on the statement of problems 1) How is the Students’ writing narrative text?, 2) How is cartoon picture applied in teaching writing narrative text?, 3) How is the effectiveness of cartoon picture in teaching writing narrative text?. Purpose of the research 1) To know about the students’ writing skill on narrative text, 2) To know about applied in teaching writing narrative text, 3) To know the effectiveness of cartoon picture in teaching writing narrative text. The method which was used in this research which two classes, called experiment and control class, the data was collected through pre-test and post-test. The result of the research showed that the influence of media cartoon picture in teaching writing skill on narrative text was good, it can be seen from the result of to= t0 3,33 and tt of degree of significance 5% is 2,39 it means that alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and nu:l hypothesis is rejected because of t0 > tt it means that there is significant difference between teaching writing skill on narrative text using cartoon picture media than without cartoon picture media.
