Abstrak

This research investigates the effect of Hypnotic Writing method . It focuses in the title of research: “The Effect of Hypnotic writing toward students writing descriptive text”. The research are conducted base on the main problem 1) how is the students’ of writing descriptive text? 2) How is the effect of Hypnotic Writing toward student’s writing descriptive text ?. According to the research problem above, the objectives of this research are: 1) To know students’ of writing descriptive text 2) To know the effect of Hypnotic Writing toward students writing descriptive text (An Experimental Research at the Second Grade of SMP Islam ar-rochmah Cilegon-Banten). The method used in this paper was quantitative method the quasy experimental research design which uses test as follow: pre-test, post-test, and observation. In this research the writer took 70 students for sample which are 35 students VIII A as experimental class and 35 students VIII B as controlled class. The result of the research states that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. The use of hypnotic writing is better than those who do not use hypnotic writing technique. By df = 68 and analyzed by using t-test, the research stated that there is effectiveness of using hypnotic writing toward students writing descriptive text, because t_observation is bigger than t_table. Than t_table in 5% and 1% the t_table with significant level 5% is 1,99 and significant level 1% is 2,65 where as t_observation is 8,15. so it means that t_observation is 8,15 > t_table (1,99) in 5%, and t_observation (8,15) > t_table (2,65) in 1%. It means that both variables have the significant correlation. In other word, use hypnotic writing toward students writing descriptive text is absolutely effective. This research find out wether hypnotic writing can be an alternative to develop students writing descriptive text in the second Grade of SMP Islam Ar-rochmah Cilegon
