Abstrak

This researchs investigates the use of Picture Word Inductive Model (PWIM) in Writing lesson. Specifically it is written in the title of this research: “The Influence of Using Picture Word Inductive Model Toward The Students’ Writing Ability in Descriptive Text (An Experimental Research at Eighth Grade of MTs Daarul Ahsan- Tangerang)”. The research is conducted based on the statement of the problems are: 1) How is the students’ writing ability in descriptive text at eighth grade of MTs Daarul Ahsan Kabupaten Tangerang? 2) Is there any significant influence of Picture Word Inductive Model (PWIM)) toward the students’ writing ability in descriptive text at eighth grade of MTs Daarul Ahsan Kabupaten Tangerang? In reference to the afro- mentioned research problems, the objectives of research are: 1) To know how the students’ writing ability in descriptive text at eighth grade of MTs Daarul Ahsan Kabupaten Tangerang. 2) To find out whether there is significant influence of Picture Word Inductive Model (PWIM) toward the students’ writing ability in descriptive text at eighth grade of MTs Daarul Ahsan Kabupaten Tangerang. To answer questions, the writer collects data from 65 students spread into two classes, one class as the experiment class and another one as the control class, by applying experimental research method. The population is the eighth grade of MTs Daarul Ahsan year 2016/2017, while class (VIII A) as the experiment class and (VIII B) as the control class, are taken as the samples. Since the research used experimental method, the data is gathered through pre-test and post-test. The result of this research shows the value of t-test or t0 4.53. The degree of freedom (df) is 63. In this process, the writer uses the degree of significance of 5% are 2.00 and significance of 1% are 2.65. So t0 = 4.53 > tt 2.00 or t0 4.53 > tt 2.65 it means that reject H0 which means there is no significant influence of using Picture Word Inductive Model (PWIM) toward the students’ writing ability in descriptive text and accepted Ha which means there is a influence of using Picture Word Inductive Model (PWIM) toward the students’ writing ability in descriptive text at eighth grade of MTs Daarul Ahsan – Tangerang.
