Abstrak
This research describes the application poster of writing skill. The writer focuses on the title of this research: “The Influece of Poster on Writing Descriptive Text”. By applying guasi Experiment research method, the writer collected data from 60 students spread in two classes, one as experiment class and another class as a control class. The data were collected through observation, and test. The result of pre-test score experiment class (8.6) is 53,9 and for post-test is 73,4. Pre-test score of control class (8,5) is 36,26 and for pos-test is 50,13. The value of to is 7,25. After getting the data the writer compared it to tt = 7,25:2,00 in degree of significance 5% and for 1% to:tt = 7,25:2,65. It means that to<tt, so Ha (alternative hypothesis) of the research is accepted, and Ho (null hypothesis) is rejected. From the result of research, The mean of pre-test score was obtained by students in experiment class and control class is lowest before treatment. The mean of post-test score in experiment class and control class is highest after treatment. From the interpretation above, the writer concludes that there is the influence of poster on writing descriptive text and poster would be better and more effective especially in descriptive text.
