Abstrak

This research investigates the effectiveness of using myltiple intelligences activities to improve students’ speaking skill. The research is conducted based on the main problem: 1. How is the students’ speaking ability before implementation of multiple intelligences activities at the second grade of MTsN 5 Serang? 2. How is students’ speaking ability after implementation of multiple intelligences activities at the second grade of MTsN 5 Serang? 3. How does multiple intelligences activities influence in speaking skill for students’ speaking skill? To answer the research question, the writer collected the data from 55 students, by divided them into two classes, one group as the experimental class and another as control class. The population is the second grade of MTsN 5 Serang academic year 2018/2019, while class (VIIIB) as the experiment class consist of 28 students and class (VIII C) as the control class consist of 27 students taken as sample. the researcher used quasi experiment method. The data gathered trough pre- test and post test. The writer used with level significance 1% and 5%. Based on the result statistic calculation, it is obtained that the score of to is = 4.86> tt = 1.67 in degree of significance 5%. The score of to = 4.86 > tt = 2.39 in degree of significance 1%. It means that Ha : to>tt. It means there is significant influence of using Multiple Intelligence Activities To Improve Students Speaking Skill at second grade of MTsN 5 Serang.
