Abstrak

This research investigates “The Use of Sticky-Notes in Teaching Students’ Writing on Descriptive Text (an Experimental research for eight grade of MTs Daar Et-taqwa Petir, Serang)”. The research is conducted based on the main problems; 1). How is students’ ability in descriptive of Eight Grade of MTs Daar Et-Taqwa IMBS, Petir, Serang? 2). How is the application of Sticky-Note on students’ writing ability in descriptive text? 3). How is the effectiveness of using sticky-note on students’ writing ability in descriptive text? The Objectives of the research are: 1). To describe the students’ ability in descriptive of Eight Grade of MTs Daar Et-Taqwa IMBS, Petir, Serang 2). To describe the application of Sticky-Note on students’ writing ability in descriptive text 3) to find out the effectiveness of using sticky-note on students’ writing ability in descriptive text To answer the questions, the researcher collect data from 60 students as a sample in two classes, one class as experimental class and another one as the control class, by applying experimental research method. The researcher chooses two classes as a sample while class A is Experiment class and B as a control class. Since the research uses A is experiment class and class B as the control class. Since the research uses quasi experiment method, the data is gathered through pretest and post-test. The result of the research showed that the hypothesis, that the null hypothesis is rejected its shown from statistical value that significant 5%=2,00 and significant of 1%=2,66 and the result of t0=3,6. So, based on strategy in teaching writing on students’ descriptive text writing has positive effect. Finally, it was suggested that English teacher should have appropriate method and technique in teaching English and be more motivated in order to make the learning process of the students more fun that can make the students enjoy in their learning.
