Abstrak
This research compare d of video and song in teaching listening, as stated on the title: that is “A Comparative Study in Teaching Listening Skills Through Video and Song a Comparison Study at Tenth Grade in SMA Al - Munnawaroh Cilegon.”. The research is conducted based on the prob lems 1) How is the students’skills on listening at tenth grade of SMA Al - Munnawaroh Cilegon? 2) How is the application of teaching listening through video and song at tenth grad e of SMA Al - Munnawaroh Cilegon?. This research aimed : 1) To know the students’ skills on listening at tenth grade of SMA Al - Munnawaroh Cilegon 2) To know the application of teaching listening through video and song at tenth grade of SMA Al - Munnawaroh Cilegon The result of class video is mean of pre - test score 60,87 and post - test 7 5,65. And class song is mean of pre - test 44,13 and post - test score 64,78. So it means the mean of class video is highest than class song, because students in teaching listening skills in class video highest than class song calculated with assumption as fol low. Based on calculation above is know that t table with level significance 5%= 1,6 8 and with level significance 1%= 2, 41 . So t account = 16,93 . So, 1,6 8 < 16,93 >2, 41 . It means that t o >t t , and the writer concludes the alternative hypothesis is accepted. It means that there is significant comparative teaching listening through video and song of SMA Al - Munnawaroh Cilegon.
