Abstrak

This research entitled “Using Jumble Sentences Game in Teaching Writing Recount Text (an Experimental Research at The Second Grade SMP Khaerul Huda Kota Serang). Jumble sentence games is used to motivate students in writing because it helps them to visualize the important elements of story and make students’ thoughts to be more organized, the writer was interested to conduct a research by applying the jumble sentences game toward students’ writing ability through the material of recount text. This research to got information whether the influence of jumble sentences game toward students’ writing recount text. This research used a quantitative method in the design of pre experimental research. The population in this research is the students’ of SMP Khaerul Huda Kota Serang and the researcher took 30 students’ as the sample. the technique of collecting data by using test. The data get from pre-test and post-test score were analysis by using t-test formula. The result calculation showed that on the significant degree of 5% and 1%, the value of t-test (to) > t-table (tt) (1.699 < 10.56 > 2.462). it means the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and the null hypothesis is rejected. It means that jumble sentences game has significant influence toward students in teaching writing recount text.
