Abstrak

Writing is more complex activity, the genres of writing make the students of Darul Muttaqin Bojonegara cant’ understand well about the texts, including recount text. English. Thus, further is suggest to conduct the investigation of other teaching method or techniques that can be applied by teachers to encourage their students’ in learning writing.This research aims to find out students writing skill and their improvement in writing recount text using experiental learning model. This research uses A Classroom Action Research which consist of four steps, there are : planning, action, observation, reflection. The sample of this research is consist of 20 students of MA Darul Muttaqin Bojonegara at the First Grade (X). The data collected by pre and post test to see the students improvements. The results show ELM can improve students writing skill in recount text at the first grade of MA Darul Muttaqin Bojonegara. The findings from two-cycle Classroom Action Research study reveal a significant improvement in students’ Average Scores. The Average Score increased from 74,8 in the First Cycle to 81,35 in the Second. This is study suggest that the implemented teaching model is effective in enhancing students’ English learning achievements. It is recommended that this model be further elaborated upon to better increase students motivations. Furthermore, future research should investigate other teaching methods or techniques that can be utilized by teachers to encourage students engagement in learning English.
