Naada Alfissa’ah. 152301928. 2019. Morphological Analysis on Derivational Suffixes in Monthly Magazine “KOREA” November 2017. This research provides an analysis on derivational suffixes in Monthly Magazine “KOREA” November 2017. Derivational suffix is the part of morphology. It is a study about breaking a word into its elements (root, prefix and suffix). It is very important for the students to study about derivational suffixes. When the students are able to identify derivational suffixes, they can develop their vocabulary because from just one word can gain many words with different part of speech. The writer uses a magazine as the object of study. By reading a magazine, the students can get two advantages; get some informations and new vocabularies. The objectives of study are (1) To identify the derivational suffixes of adjective-based in Monthly Magazine “KOREA” November 2017. (2) To know the morphological process on derivational suffixes of adjective-based that found in Monthly Magazine “KOREA” November 2017. The research used qualitative research. The instrument used in this research was document analysis. The result of analyzing data were gained the derivational suffixes that found in Monthly Magazine “KOREA” November 2017, there are 98 words: -ly (75), -er (2), -ty (3), -ce (7), -dom (2), -ship (1), -ness (4), -ize (3), -ism (1). They are noun maker (19), verb maker (3), adverb maker (75), all the bases are from adjective words. From the conclusion of this research, the writer suggests that to improve their mastery of vocabulary, the students should apply the derivational suffixes by breaking the word into its elements root, base and suffixes because from one word they can change to the other word class and they also find how the words built. By knowing the root and base, the students can build the word by themselves.
