Abstrak

Dewi Ratna Ayu. 142301652. The Effectiveness of Memrise Towards Students’ Listening Skill (An Experimental Research at The Second Grade of SMK YAPIDI Jayanti Kab. Tangerang) The purpose of this research is 1) To know students’ listening skills of the second grade of SMK YAPIDI 2) To know the effectiveness of using memrise in listening subject at the second grade of SMK YAPIDI. The method in this research is Experimental research which uses quasi experiment. For doing this research the researcher has chosen the second grade of Multimedia of SMK YAPIDI for population which consist of 62 students, the researcher took 31 students for both control and experiment class. The researcher conducted this research from 25 Mei 2018 until 31 Mei 2018. As the quantitative method, the researcher analyzed the data by using t-test. The result showed that there was significant difference on the students listening skill taught by using memrise. The students mean of pre test’s score of experiment class was 55.65. Then in post test, the mean score of experiment class was 72.26. Based on the result of the data analyzing the researcher concluded that students listening skill using memrise improved. Hence, the researcher concluded that memrise is effective in improving listening skill of the students of the second grade of SMK YAPIDI. Keywords: experiment, memrise, listening-skill
