Siti Maulida Elma, 152301912. 2019. Improving Young Learner’s Listening Skill Through Total Physical Response (TPR) (An Experimental Research at second grade of TK RA Mathla’ul Anwar Tangerang). This research investigates the use of Total Physical Response (TPR) to improve young learners’ listening skill at second grade of TK RA Mathla’ul Anwar. The objectives of this research are 1) to know how is young learners’ listening skill at the second-grade students of TK RA Mathla’ul Anwar before using Total Physical Response (TPR) method, 2) to know how is the young learners’ listening skill at the second-grade students of TK RA Mathla’ul Anwar after using Total Physical Response (TPR) method, and 3) to know how is the effectiveness of Total Physical Response (TPR) method for teaching listening skill at the second-grade students of TK RA Mathla’ul Anwar Tangerang. The method used in this study was quasi experiment with the samples are 62 students. They are divided into two classes, 31 students in experimental class and 31 students in control class. Furthermore, the researcher used pre-test and post-test to collect the data. After calculated the data, the researcher gets the mean of post-test in experimental class is 64.5 and in control class is 56,2. Since the degree significance is used, the data showed that of level significance 5% 2.00. The result of the research is that = 3,1 and 2.00<3,1 which means that > . In other words, the alternative hypothesis is accepted because there is significant effectiveness of Total Physical Response (TPR) method to improve students’ listening skill. In line with the data result, the researcher concludes that using Total Physical Response (TPR) method learning could improve young learners’ listening skill.
