Abstrak
This research investigates tongue twisters technique in pronunciation. This research is conducted based on the main problem 1) How is the students’ pronunciation? 2) How is tongue twister applied in teaching pronunciation? 3) How is the effect of tongue twister in teaching pronunciation? This research aims at: 1) Exploring their pronunciation in making the conversation at SMKN 1 Pandeglang. 2) Knowing the implementation of tongue twisters technique on students’ pronunciation. 3) Knowing the effect tongue twisters technique to their pronunciation. To answer the question, the writer collects the data by using An Experimental Research at SMKN 1 Pandeglang which consist of 36 students. The writer takes the tenth grade of TKJ Class as population and sample. Then the data gathered through pre-test and post-test. The result of this research states that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Using tongue twisters technique on students’ pronunciation is better than those who do not using tongue twisters technique. By df 70 and analyzed by using t-test, the research states that there is significance difference between students’ achievement in learning using tongue twisters technique and without using tongue twisters technique, because tobservation is higher than ttable. Then ttable in significance level 5% is 1,66 whereas tobservation is 7,52. It means that tobservation is 7,52 > ttable 1,66 in 5% significance. In other word, using tongue twisters technique in pronunciation is effective. The writer find out whether tongue twisters technique can be an alternative technique in teaching pronunciation at tenth grade of SMKN 1 Pandeglang. The students showed their enthusiasm and their response.
