(2) How is the effectiveness of using Think, Predict, Read, and Connect (TPRC) Strategy on students’ Reading Comprehension? To answer the questions, the researcher collect data from 62 students as a sample in two classes, one class as experiment class and another one as control class, by applying quasi experimental research method. The researcher chooses two classes as a sample while class X MIPA 4 is experiment and X MIPA 5 as control class. Since the research uses quasi experiment method, the data is gathered through pre-test and post-test. The result of the research showed that the hypothesis, that the null hypothesis is rejected its shown from statistical value that significant 5% pretest 1898 and posttest 2094 from control class. While from Experiment class the research got mean pretest 1621 and mean posttest 2316. the score of Experimental class increase on 26,88% it is better than control class students with increase on 6,32%. according the data, the score of t0 observation 4,15 is higher than tt (t table) 1,67. it means the use of TPRC strategy in significant of 1% = 2.39 and the result of t0 = 4,15. So, based on technique in reading comprehension has positive effect. It means there is significant effect to use The Use of Think, Predict, Read and Connect (TPRC) Strategy on Students’ Reading Comprehension on Descriptive Text .
