Abstrak
Reforestation is one of the essential activities that must be carried out conceptually and deals with environmental crises. With the encouragement and awareness of the community on how important it is to preserve the environment, this activity carries by bringing several benefits to the community itself. Because in this program, the community is fully involved in planning, providing, maintaining, and supervising reforestation activities. Reforestation carried several objectives: adding ecological value and obtaining economic benefits, then increasing community literacy through reading huts. The method uses three stages, namely, identification, planning, implementation, and evaluating of community service programs in Tambakbaya village for 46 days. The success of the community service program is showing in the form of reforestation activities around homes and public facilities, then added by the existence of a reading hut which puts forward the goal of changing the mindset of children and the community about the importance of learning with small experiences, namely reading.
