Abstrak

Fiki Firmansyah. 161230132. 2021. “An Analysis of Moral Values in Harris J‟s Songs” (An Analytical of Moral Values In Song). Undergraduate Research Paper, Departement of English Education, Faculty of Education and Teacher Training, University of Islamic State “Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin” Banten. Advisers: As‟ari, S.S, M.S and Dr. Tatu Siti Rohbiah, M. Hum. This study was carried out to analyse the moral values on Harris J’s Songs. Moral values can not only be obtained by discussions in formal situations and from books but also people can use songs to deliver the moral messages. Moral values can be delivered well by using music because many people use song to express their feeling at the momen. The research method used in this study is library research. Method of collecting data is the documents method. The technique analysis in this research use content analysis method. The purpose of this study is to describe the moral values in Harris J’s Songs, to find out the significance of moral values in life portrayed in the lyrics. The source of data is fifth songs from Harris J's they are worth it, good life, love who you are, salam alaikum and I promise. The result of this analysis is shown eight moral values are found in Harris J’s song lyrics. There are love and affection, sincerity, steadfastness, kind-hearted, thankfulness, sympathetic to others, and optimism. The significance of moral values in human’s life portrayed in Harris J's song lyrics is religious teaching.
