Abstrak

Rika Aenul Fitriah. 161230110. 2016. “Teacher’s Techniques in Teaching Vocabulary For Young Learners (A Case Study at Second Grade of Assa’adah Global Islamic School)”, Paper, English Education Department, Faculty of Education and Teaching Training, State Islamic University of Sultan Maulana Hasanudin Banten. This research was investigated the teacher’s techniques in teaching vocabulary for young learners and the teacher’s reasons in using those techniques. It is aimed to know what are the techniques that teacher used in teaching vocabulary at second grade students of Assa’adah Global Islamic School and the teacher’s reasons in using those techniques. The method used in this reascher is case study by using observastion and interview to collect the data from research subject. This research involves on English teacher and 26 students from second grade of Assa’adah Global Islamic School. The result showed that the teacher used eight techniques in teaching vocabulary at second grade such as listen and repeat, listen and do, using pictures, game, sing a song, clues, read aloud, question and answer. Thus the techniques be able to stimulate the students’ interest and enhance students’ vocabulary in learning English.
