Abstrak

This writer describes the analysis of the students’ ability on subordinate conjunction of sentence. The writer focuses on the title of this research: “The Analysis of Students’ Writing Ability on Subordinate Conjunction of Sentence”. The writer is conducted based on the main problem 1) How is students’ ability in writing subordinate conjunction? 2) In what extent student make an error of writing sentence? This research oriented to the following aims; 1) To know the students’ ability in writing subordinate conjunction. 2) To know the extent student make an error of writing sentence. To answer the question, the writer collects data from one class or 9 students in MTs La-Royba Serang, Since the use a case study, the data gathered through observation and test technique. The result of the research shows that the students’ ability in writing subordinate conjunction of sentence is low. Based on this fact, concluded that students are still needed to be guide in writing subordinate conjunction of sentence. It makes them will be better to write subordinate conjunction of sentence. From the data, the writer got the result as follow: based on the result of the test the writer found that the student made an error in writing subordinate conjunction of sentence especially in identifying the meaning, choosing available subordinate conjunction, using the comma on the sentence, writing the sentence based on grammatical structure. From the data the writer found that the excellent score just one it around 81-100 and the other one is good score it around 61-80 while the others are under 61 -80 score. Its mean most students of MTs La-Royba do not understand on subordinate conjunction.
