Abstrak

ThisstudysystematicallyinvestigatesthehistoricaltrendsinEnglishLanguageTeaching(ELT)methodologiesfrom2020to2024usingPRISMAguidelines.Theinitialsearchidentified430recordsfromdatabases,includingMendeley(191),ScienceDirect(238),andPubMed(1).Aftertitleandabstractscreening,43articlesunderwentfull-textreview,and22articlesmeetingtheinclusioncriteriawereanalyzed.Thesearticleswerecategorizedintokeythemes:technologyintegration(7articles),blendedlearningmodels(5articles),teachertraininganddevelopment(4articles),criticalpedagogy(3articles),andinnovativeassessmentpractices(3articles).ThefindingsrevealsignificanttransformationsinELTmethodologies.AItoolslikeChatGPTenhancepersonalizedlearningandclassroominteraction,whileblendedlearningmodels,suchasflippedclassroomsandtranslanguaging,promotecriticalthinkingandculturalinclusivity.Teachertrainingprogramsemergedaspivotal,particularlythosefocusingonTPACKframeworksforeffectivetechnologyintegration.CriticalpedagogyaddressessocialequityandlocalizedELTadaptations,whileHOTS-basedassessmentstrategiesadvancecriticalthinking,thoughchallengesinimplementationremain.ThisstudyconcludesbyemphasizingthealignmentofELTpracticeswithglobaladvancementsandregionalneedswhileproposinglongitudinalresearchtoevaluatethesustainabilityofthesetrends.TheseinsightscontributetotheongoingdevelopmentofinclusiveandeffectiveELTmethodologies
