Abstrak

This research was conducted to examine the effectiveness of using Speedy English Grammar to improve students’ grammar mastery at the eleventh grade of SMAN 5 kota Serang. To accomplish the goal of this research, 2 classes involved to take part as sample of this research which consisted 43 students from control class and 45 students from experimental class. This research was conducted through the following procedures: giving pre-test, 3 cycles treatment and post-test in each class. The finding of this research reveals that Speedy English Grammar is effective to improve students’ grammar mastery. It was reflected on the calculation using t-test formula, it reveals that a : = 3,65>2,37049 in degree of significance 5% and : = 3,65>1,66277 in degree of significance 1%. Furthermore, using Speedy English Grammar has given an effect on the students, the result shows student grammar mastery better than before. Students looked more interested and active in learning with Speedy English Grammar.
