Abstrak

This study aims to determine: the average value of the pre-test and post-test of the control class that do not use the reading aloud technique in the students' pronunciation. The average value of the pre-test and post-test of the experimental class that uses the reading aloud technique in students' pronunciation. Differences in learning outcomes from the control class with the experimental class on students' pronunciation. This research is a quasi-experimental research. This research was conducted at SMP IT Al-Muqorrobin Cilegon. The population in this study was class VII SMP IT consisting of 38 students in the control class VII B and 38 students in the experimental class VII A. The results of this study indicate that: In the control class the average pretest score is 65.42 while the post-test average value is 72.42 which is still lower than the experimental class. In the experimental class the average pre- test score is 68.16 while the post-test average value of 83.29 is higher than the control class, The average posttest value of the experimental class > control class is 83.29 > 72.42 which means that the experimental class learning outcomes are higher than the control class, in the paired t-test, the results obtained are sig. 2 tailed of 0.000 <0.05. The use of reading aloud technique in students' pronunciation is more effective.
