Abstrak
This study aims to analyse the teaching strategies used by Generation Z teachers in teaching English to Generation Alpha students at SMP IT Miftahul Ulum Kragilan. As digital natives, Gen Z teachers are expected to implement innovative and technology-based approaches that align with the learning styles and characteristics of Gen Alpha students, who grow up in a fully digital and fast-paced environment. The research aims to identify the strategies applied, their effectiveness, and the challenges encountered in the teaching process. This study employed a descriptive qualitative method with a case study design. Data were collected through classroom observations, interviews, and documentation, including lesson plans and teaching materials. The data were analysed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model with triangulation to ensure validity. The findings revealed that Gen Z teachers used interactive and technology-supported methods such as Communicative Language Teaching (CLT), Task-Based Learning (TBL), and digital tools like YouTube, Quizizz, and Google Classroom. These strategies improved students’ motivation, participation, and creativity in learning English. However, challenges such as short attention spans, technology dependence, and unequal participation emerged.
