Abstrak
Teacher performance is an activity carried out by a teacher in learning that has been planned as a task and responsibility in school. Since the 2013 curriculum was rolled out teachers are still not optimal in understanding the procedures for carrying out scientific learning and authentic assessment in schools, even though some teachers already have got educator certificates and received certification allowances as a form of appreciation for their professionalism. This study used a qualitative method with comparative descriptive techniques by observing, documenting studies, interviewing and triangulating the selected informants in 3 different schools at Serang Regency Banten. The results of this study indicated that the performance of certified and non-certified teachers in preparing lesson plans are very good. In implementing the scientific learning processes are good, in carrying out authentic assessments have also been classified as pair category. Thus, in general, there is no difference in performance between certified and non-certified teachers in Serang District Elementary School. However, certified teachers are expected to be able to improve their performance. This study provides several valuable insights into the expectations of the schools and government for improvement.
