Abstrak
This research aimed to measure students’ writing achievement and analyze students’ difficulties in arrangemen t in English random words. The research conducted based on the main problems: 1) How are students’ difficulties in arranging English random words into correct sentences at MI Khoirul Huda? 2) What are the causes of students’ difficulties in arranging English random words into sen tences at MI Khoirul Huda? This method of the research is case study. The population of this research is the students of sixth grade at MI Khoirul Huda Kota Tangerang and the researcher took 6 students as the sample. The researcher conducted this research from 26th until 28th of August 2016. The data is collected by test and interview. Giving test for analyzing the students’ writing skill in arrangement English random words into correct sentence and in making complete sentence in English and doing interview for analyze the students’ difficulties when they start their own writing. The results of the research are: (1) from the test: the students’ highest score in writing test is 80, the medium score is 50, and the lowest score is 10. (2) from interview: all respondents almost have experienced the same problems about the arrangement English random words into correct sentence and making a complete sentence is: their vocabulary mastery is low, they didn’t understand about positive, negative, and interrogative sentence, they couldn’t distinguish yet where subject, verb, and adverb, English language is foreign language it’s isn’t their mother tongue and they felt unfamiliar with it.
