Abstrak

Hilda Yasifa Rohmana. 132301572. Eliciting Students’ Response on Teacher’s Question in Reading (A case study at Junior High School of SMPN Karang Tanjung Pandeglang). This research investigates the students’ response on teacher’s question. The research conducted based on the main problems : (1) How are students responses on teacher’s questions at SMPN 1 Karang Tanjung Pandeglang? (2) How are teacher’s effort in eliciting students responses on teacher’s questions at SMPN 1 Karang Tanjung Pandeglang? (3) How are students skills in reading of this research is the students second junior high school Karang Tanjung Pandeglang, and the researcher took 30 students as the sample. The data is collected by giving interview, observation, and test. The results of this study conclude that the students 'responses to the teacher's questions are very good, so that many students get scores of 100 and 90, while the least scores are 40. In short, it shows that the students' responses to the teacher's questions, the teacher's effort in raises student responses, and students skills in reading comprehension are good.
