Abstrak
This research designed to find out of the effectiveness using small group discussion in reding analytical exposition text.The research conducted based on the main problem: 1)How Is the effectiveness using small group discussion in teaching reading analytical exposition text? 2)How is the students understanding in analytical exposition text? 3)How the effect using small group disccussion method to sudents problem in learning analytical exposition text? This research oriented to the following aim: 1)The objective of the research is to find the empirical evidence of the the effectiveness using small group discussion method in teaching reading analytical exposition text .2)The objective of the research is to find students understanding to analytical exposition text .3)The objective of the research is to find the effect small group discussion to students problem in learning analytical exposition text. The writer used experimental reseach to answer the question, he collected the data from 40 students spread in two classes, one class as experimental and another one as control class, The population is the eight grade of Smpt Daar El-Ishlah Malingping year 2017-2018,while class VIIIA as experimental research and class VIIIB as the control class are taken as the sample. The result of this reseach shows that students using small group discussion in teaching reading analytical exposition text method achieve better performance than who do not using small group discussion.
