Abstrak

This research entitled: “ The Effect o f Using Audio Visual on Student s ’ Achievement in Learning Noun . (An Experimental Research at the Second Grade of SMPN 1 Gunung Sari )”.The writer formulate s the statement of problems as follows : 1. How is the students’ learning achievement about noun before and after using audio visual ? 2. How is the effect of using audio visual on students’ achievement in learning noun at second grade of SMPN 1 Gunung Sari? This research ai m s at : 1. Know ing the students’ learning achievement about noun before and after using audio visual. 2. Know ing the effect of using audio visual on students’ achievement in learning noun at second grade of SMPN 1 Gunung Sari. The writer took as ma ny as 60 students as the sample . T he experimental class is 30 students and control class is 30 students . The writer conducted this research for 2 th February , 201 5 in class VII A and VII B by using technique s of collecting data are pre - test and post - test . The result of the research are: the writer obtained the value of t 0 (12, 90 ) and degree of freedom (Df) (29). To know whether is significant or not, we have to look at the t table in appendix. The result of t t on significant 5% = 1, 69 and 1% = 2, 45. That indicates that t 0 > t t or 1, 69 >1 2 , 90 > 2, 45. Its mean hypothesis null is rejected and the alternative hypothesis accepted. Its means has significant effect on students’ achievement in learning noun after us ing audio visual as media in teaching learning
