Abstrak

This research investigates the teacher and students about speaking difficulties. The writer focuses on the title this research: "An Analysis of Students' Speaking Difficulties in English Classroom" . T he research is conducted based on t he statement of the problem: 1) what are the fa ctors of students' difficulty when they speak English in the classroom? 2) Why do the students have difficulties in speaking English? 3) What is the solution to solve students' difficulties in speaking English? The aim of this research: To know all of the factors student's difficulties when speaking English in the English class; to find out students' difficulties when speaking English in English class; to know the solutions made by the students in solving the difficulty of speaking English. In this researc h, the writer uses case study i n which t he subject of this research is the teacher and students from SMAN Cahaya Madani Banten Boardin g School Pandeglang. The technique to collect the data are observation, interview, and documentation s . B ased on the result of the research, the researcher concluded that the difficulties of speaking found are lack of vocabulary, lack of grammar understanding and lack confidence for speaking English.
