Abstrak

The development of the study program's quality management model must be viewed as an organizational policy and applied consistently to ensure the best service for customers. This study focused on the analysis of the quality management model of the Islamic Education Management program which obtained the accreditation A, namely MPI UIN Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau, MPI UIN Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi, MP UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, MPI UIN Suka Yogyakarta, MPI UIN Walisanga Semarang, MPI UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya and MPI IAIN Purwokerto. The research question is how to apply the principles of quality management in the MPI study program? What is the implementation of quality management in the MPI study program? What are the problems in the implementation of the study program quality management and how to develop MPI study program quality management model. This study uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques of observation, interviews, and document studies. The resource persons of the study were the chair and secretary of the study program, the chairman of the Quality Assurance Institute, the Dean, lecturers and students. The results of this study illustrate that the head of study program, dean and head of the quality assurance agency have a high commitment to meet the BAN-PT standard as an instrument of change and improvement of all study program services so that the study program exceeds the standard; Leaders and internal stakeholders of MPI have tried optimally to realize the quality management principles of the study program. The fundamental problem that hampers the quality management of the MPI study program is the centrality of budget management that is still held by faculty leaders, the lack of leadership support for the creativity of study programs in making new programs more strategic. Therefore, it is necessary to apply the study program quality management model that adopts the Plan Do Check and Act (PDCA) functions considered to be more simple and adaptive to the internal demands and external developments of the study program, as well as to be used as quality assurance for study programs
