Abstrak
The purpose of holding this scientific writing mentoring workshop is to foster the desire and interest of Islamic Religious Education teachers in writing and creating a scientific paper as a prerequisite for a functional promotion. The productivity and professionalism of a teacher are also reflected in the scientific papers they contain. The participants of this scientific writing workshop are teachers of Islamic Religious Education spread across the province of Banten, totalling 42 people. This service activity was held in the Hall of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religion of Banten Province. The service activity explained in detail the facts that occurred in the scientific writing workshop, ranging from strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats that occurred during the workshop. This service activity uses a qualitative approach using a descriptive method. The activity results found that most of the Islamic Religious Education teachers who took part in this workshop could compile journal manuscripts per the prescribed journal rules, which are a requirement for promotion of functional position, and being a benchmark for productive and professional teachers.
