Abstrak

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) method in learning Islamic religious education in developing special intelligent children (CI). This research is a mixed method research by using teachers as informants as well as literature related to the research focus. Data was collected by observing and interviewing informants and constructing the relevant literature, then analyzed by content analysis mixed method. This research resulted that special intelligent children can be developed with Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning methods in learning Islamic religious education. The effectiveness of the CTL method in learning Islamic religious education is interpreted as a method that can direct the success of learning in Specially Intelligent children, provide ease of learning based on children's real interests and experiences, and encourage collaborative efforts in teaching and learning activities between educators and students. The findings of this research can be carried out by developing the CTL method to develop CI children to be applied in learning Islamic religious education in various schools in Indonesia
